A Sacred Pause — The Middle Way

Deeper Than a Spa Weekend.
Gentler Than a Silent Retreat.

The Eling Sanctuary Retreat was built for a particular kind of exhaustion — not the tiredness that sleep fixes, but the kind that has settled into your bones. The burnout behind the busy schedule. The emotional heaviness you've been carrying politely, alone, for too long.

Two or three days isn't long. But in a sanctuary held by nature, guided by authentic Balinese spiritual practice, with nothing to do except show up for yourself — it is long enough to change something.

Eling means awareness in Balinese — the quiet return to the self beneath the noise. That is what this retreat holds as its single intention: to give you back the space to hear yourself again.

This Retreat Is For You If…

You are a spiritual seeker ready to reconnect with your inner self
Youre a traveler who wants a retreat experience that genuinely lands
“You do not need to fix yourself before arriving. You only need to arrive.” — Eling Sanctuary Retreat

Your Journey

Four Movements.
One Unfolding.

The retreat is not a series of activities. It is a carefully held arc — designed so that each phase builds on the last, and the whole adds up to more than its parts.

01 Release

Let It Go

The body holds what the mind has refused to process. The opening sessions — yoga, breathwork, and movement — create the safety to begin to let it down.

02 Restore

Fill Back Up

Once something has been released, there is space. Sound healing, deep meditation, and the sanctuary environment itself do the work of restoration.

03 Reconnect

Come Home

Beneath the exhaustion and the noise, there is a self that has been waiting patiently. Spiritual reflection and inner awareness practices guide you back to it.

04 Realign

Move Forward

Integration sessions on the final day translate the inner work into clarity: what you are releasing for good, and what you are taking back into your life.

What You'll Practice

Five Pillars of the Sanctuary

Each practice serves the arc. Together, they form a complete container for healing — physical, mental, and spiritual.

01

Yoga & Mindful Movement

Gentle, beginner-friendly yoga sequences designed to open the body and signal to the nervous system that it is safe to soften. No prior yoga experience needed — the movement meets you where you are.

02

Breathwork & Energy Balancing

Breathwork is the fastest and most direct tool for shifting how the body holds emotion. Guided sessions work with the breath to release trapped energy and restore natural vitality.

03

Meditation & Inner Awareness

Sitting practices that develop the capacity to observe the mind without being carried away by it — creating the inner quiet in which clarity and self-awareness naturally arise.

04

Sound Healing

Traditional sound instruments create resonance that the body receives directly, bypassing the analytical mind. Sound sessions offer one of the deepest forms of rest available in the program.

05

Spiritual Reflection & Integration

Guided contemplation, journaling prompts, and group sharing circles that help translate experience into insight — so the work done on retreat does not evaporate when you return to daily life.

06

The Sanctuary Itself

Bali Eling Spirit is a nature-held environment in Tampaksiring — the land, the air, the unhurried pace are themselves part of the practice. You do not need to manufacture peace here; it is already present.

Before You Book

Common Questions

Questions about the Eling Sanctuary Retreat specifically. Hub-level questions live on the Sanctuary page.

Both packages are complete retreats — the 2D1N is ideal if your schedule allows only a weekend away, and it delivers genuine depth in two days. The 3D2N adds a full middle day of immersion that allows the inner work to go further. If you have the time and feel you are carrying something heavy, the 3D2N is recommended.

No experience is necessary. The program is designed to be accessible to complete beginners. The team works with what you bring — the instruction is practical, hands-on, and supportive.

Comfortable clothing for yoga and movement, a journal if you have one, and a genuine willingness to slow down. The sanctuary provides everything else. A detailed packing list is shared upon booking.

The Healing Retreat (5 hours) is a morning program — high-impact, no accommodation, excellent for visitors and those testing the waters. The Eling Sanctuary Retreat is a residential immersion of 2–3 days. The depth, the continuity, and the lived experience of staying overnight are different in quality. If you have already done the Healing Retreat and want to go further, this is the natural next step.

Tapa Brata (4 days, 3 nights) is the deepest offering — it is designed for participants ready to meet something old and unresolved. The Eling Sanctuary Retreat is gentler and shorter, more focused on rest and restoration than deep emotional excavation. It is a meaningful retreat; Tapa Brata is a transformational one. Both are valuable. Different circumstances call for different depths.

We recommend booking at least 5–7 days in advance. The programs run in small groups and intake dates are limited. We also suggest confirming with the team directly to ensure alignment with the teachers' schedule.

The practices are rooted in Balinese-Hindu tradition. The retreat is genuinely open to people of all backgrounds — religious, spiritual, agnostic, or none. What is asked of you is not belief, but sincere presence.

Your Pause Awaits

Recharge. Reflect.
Reconnect.

Whether you choose two days or three, the sanctuary holds the same promise: a space where you can put down what you have been carrying — and remember who you are beneath it.
